Prince William & Queen Camilla Feuding Over a Royal Wedding Issue — Report

Prince William and Queen Camilla are reportedly at odds. The disagreement centers on an issue related to Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillipswedding. The 48-year-old will marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling on Saturday, June 6, at All Saints’ Church in the historic village of Kemble, Gloucestershire.

Prince William and Queen Camilla are reportedly at ‘war’ over this Royal wedding decision

Prince William and Queen Camilla are reportedly locked in a quiet clash over a pivotal decision surrounding the royal wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling. The ceremony is set to draw senior royals, including the King, Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Wearing a Royal Vault tiara is a long-held tradition for women marrying into the family. With several historic diadems to her name, Princess Anne could offer her future daughter-in-law a borrowed sparkle.

Yet according to a palace insider, Queen Camilla’s office reportedly moved to block Harriet from borrowing royal jewels. The reason given was that she does not come from an aristocratic lineage.

A source told the Royal Insider Network that Camilla’s choice frustrated Princess Anne, who then asked her nephew, Prince William, to step in and overrule it.

According to the Daily Express, Prince William responded by ordering a “total administrative lockdown of the Royal Vault.” This would ensure that his cousin Peter’s bride could wear a tiara, should Princess Anne choose to lend one.

However, Sperling will not receive a royal title upon marriage. Peter Phillips holds none, after Princess Anne declined titles for her children at birth. Despite that, his first wife, Autumn Kelly, was allowed to wear Princess Anne’s Festoon Tiara for their 2008 wedding.

As for Harriet Sperling, the insider claims Anne’s Pineflower Aquamarine Tiara is among the leading choices. It once belonged to the Queen Mother and was passed to Anne as a wedding gift in 1973 when she married Mark Phillips. The Meander Tiara, given to her by Queen Elizabeth II at 18 in 1968, is another option. A third possibility is Princess Anne’s personal favorite, the Festoon Diamond Tiara itself.
