Donald Trump Weighs in on 2028 Election & Has a Clear Favorite Combination

Donald Trump recently discussed a possible team-up between JD Vance and Marco Rubio for the 2028 elections. Vice President Vance and US Secretary of State Rubio are currently being eyed as potential contenders in the upcoming elections. However, they have insisted that there is no race to run for President between them.

Donald Trump says JD Vance and Marco Rubio should team up in 2028

Donald Trump has said that he believes that JD Vance and Marco Rubio would be strong candidates in the 2028 presidential election if they team up. Trump sat down for a chat on The New York Post’s podcast, Pod Force One, where he made the statements regarding the two potential presidential candidates.

When Trump was asked who he thought should run for President, he suggested that Vance and Rubio should form a team. Trump stated, “I like them both, and I like them together.” He also asserted that a team featuring the Vice President and Rubio would be unbeatable. Trump added, “I don’t know how you beat them if they’re together. That would be a great team.”

He also noted that he observes how Vance and Rubio are “with each other.” Trump said he finds the dynamic between Vance and Rubio very “interesting.” Previously, an Emerson College Polling survey found that both Vance and Rubio are neck-and-neck in a hypothetical race to become the Republican candidate in the 2028 election. The results showed that while Rubio had the support of 35 percent of Republican voters, Vance had an edge, with 36 percent of supporters choosing him.

Previously, while speaking at a White House event, Trump stated that Rubio and Vance together sound “like a good ticket.” He said, “JD is a perfect, that was a perfect ticket. By the way, I do believe that’s a dream team. But these are minor details. That does not mean you have my endorsement under any circumstance. But you know … I think it sounds like presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate.”
