New TV and movie releases on Amazon Prime Video for June 8 to June 14, 2026, include an action thriller led by Gerard Butler.
Directed by Jean-François Richet, Plane follows pilot Brodie Torrance, who makes a risky landing on a war-torn island to save passengers from lightning. However, things turn upside down when the passengers’ lives are threatened by dangerous rebels.
Its cast is led by Butler, who stars alongside Mike Colter, Tony Goldwyn, and Yoson An, among others. The 2023 film opened to positive reviews from critics. Moreover, the film was a success at the box office, grossing $74.5 million worldwide.
Also coming to Prime Video is Every Year After, a new romantic drama series based on Carley Fortune’s Every Summer After. The show’s cast features Sadie Soverall as Persephone “Percy” Fraser, Matt Cornett as Sam Florek, Aurora Perrineau as Chantal, and Abigail Cowen as Delilah.
A 2023 American coming-of-age comedy-drama movie, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret., written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig, will also soon arrive on Prime Video. Its cast members include Abby Ryder Fortson, Rachel McAdams, Elle Graham, Benny Safdie, and Kathy Bates.
Furthermore, several sports fixtures will be available to stream live on Prime Video this week. MLB and WNBA games, as well as a NASCAR race, can be accessed on the platform by subscribers over the next seven days.
