The viral clip sparked widespread speculation about the former couple’s relationship. However, when approached by TMZ after a workout session, Stefon Diggs suggested that the situation may have been blown out of proportion.
Asked about the video, the wide receiver had nothing but positive words for Cardi B. “That’s a beautiful… that’s a talented mother, I love her to death,” he said. When questions turned to their current relationship status, Diggs avoided providing a direct answer. Instead, he replied, “You have to ask her.”
Diggs was equally measured when discussing the viral footage itself. According to him, the interaction did not even qualify as an argument. “I don’t even think that was arguing,” he said. “You didn’t see me, like, saying anything.”

Not long after the video gained attention online, Cardi also appeared to address the moment herself. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she joked that hunger may have played a role in the exchange. “Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity … damn y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?” the “WAP” singer wrote.
