Donald Trump and Stephen Colbert’s alleged feud seemed not to have taken a rest. After the comedian’s exit from “The Late Show,” the president has been taking a dig at him on social media. Recently, he wrote a post on Truth Social, claiming that he has seemingly “taken out” Colbert.
“In the last two weeks I’ve taken out many bad Political ‘Leaders’ and Pundits including Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lightweight ‘Congressman’ Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Brad Raffensperger of Georgia, REALLY DUMB Stephen Colbert of CBS, and others,” his post read.
Furthermore, he wrote, “My score, for two weeks, is 38-0, with three more limping Late Night Talk Show Hosts, including Low Ratings Bill Maher and his Fake ‘Laughing Machine,’ to go.” Since the upload, the post has garnered over 5.9K likes as of this writing.
Trump has often locked horns with late-night show hosts. This time, he reportedly claimed to have shut down the talk show, ending Colbert’s tenure. Although the former host didn’t mention the president in the final episode, Trump didn’t let things slide easily. He caught online attention by posting an AI-generated video showing him throwing the television personality into a dumpster.
In the video, shared on the politician’s X (formerly Twitter) and Truth Social accounts, he was seen approaching Colbert from behind when he was hosting the “Late Show” finale. He then picked the host from his collar and tossed him into a trash bin.
