Alec Baldwin’s latest thriller has reached a milestone as filming officially comes to an end. The action-packed movie pairs Baldwin with comedian-actor Jim Gaffigan in a survival story. The update gives fans their first clear sign that the project is moving into its next phase.
Crosshairs wraps production
According to Deadline, Production has officially finished on Crosshairs, a new action thriller directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil, the filmmaker behind Vehicle 19 and The Immaculate Room. The movie recently completed filming in Birmingham, Alabama, according to an announcement from the production team.
The story centers on a New York police detective who suddenly finds himself trapped in a nightmare scenario. He is stuck on a park bench while holding a bomb and is being targeted by an unseen sniper. To make matters worse, a dead man lies at his feet, and he has no way to explain the situation to the police officers responding to the scene. As pressure builds and every second counts, the detective must figure out a way to survive without triggering even greater danger.
Alongside Alec Baldwin and Gaffigan, the cast includes Sydney Park, Jeremy Warner, Kelly Greyson, Michael Sirow, Kate Linder, and Anthony Del Negro. The film is being produced by The Barnum Picture Company in partnership with Tillt Studios, IThink Productions, and TPC. In addition, the EP list includes the likes of Ram Getz, Michael Mortensen, Gena Metz, Kiowa Gordon, Andrew Gans, and more.
For Baldwin, Crosshairs adds another title to a career that has stretched across film, television, and theater for decades. The Oscar-nominated actor earned acclaim for performances in movies such as The Cooler, The Hunt for Red October, Glengarry Glen Ross, and The Departed. He is also widely known for his Emmy-winning work as Jack Donaghy on NBC’s 30 Rock, a role that became one of the defining performances of his career.
Although the filmmakers have not revealed when Crosshairs will reach audiences, completing principal photography is a major step.
