Spider-Man 4’s ending will leave fans absolutely devastated. One of the MCU’s biggest heroes reportedly meets a tragic fate before Avengers: Doomsday returns.
Spider-Man 4’s ‘tragic’ end to kill off Peter Parker before Avengers: Doomsday
Spider-Man 4 will reportedly feature a tragic ending for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker before Avengers: Doomsday, according to scooper MyTimeToShineHello on X.
The insider responded to reports that Holland’s character will be resurrected in Doomsday by describing Brand New Day’s ending as “VERY tragic.” Yellow Minutes initially reported that the film’s conclusion would see Parker meet a devastating fate.
The theory aligns with widespread fan speculation on Reddit’s MCU Theories community. Many users believe Hulk could turn savage during the film’s final battle and fatally injure Peter. One popular thread suggests that Bruce Banner’s rageful transformation explains why both characters are absent from Doomsday’s confirmed roster.
Brand New Day already features Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner alongside Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Michael Mando’s Scorpion. The official synopsis confirms Peter faces “a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence.” The film also introduces a piece of the Venom symbiote left behind in the MCU after Venom: The Last Dance.
Reddit users have connected the symbiote thread to Peter’s potential resurrection. One commenter suggested that “the symbiote pulls up and saves him, so that he can wake up again to a BRAND NEW DAY.”
Others pointed to the Secret Wars comic storyline, where Spider-Man plays a significant role on Battleworld. Another user argued Holland’s absence from Doomsday simply mirrors Ant-Man’s absence from Infinity War.
Spider-Man 4 releases in cinemas on 31 July with Destin Daniel Cretton directing. The film takes place four years after No Way Home’s events, with Peter living completely alone after erasing himself from everyone’s memories.
Avengers: Doomsday currently holds an 18 December release date, leaving five months between the two Marvel Studios projects.
