‘The View’ Hosts Brutally Mock Donald Trump for Family Wedding Drama

Donald Trump was mocked by the hosts of “The View” for not attending his son’s wedding. Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., tied the knot with Bettina Anderson in a small, intimate destination ceremony on May 23. The President reportedly decided not to attend the wedding due to official work commitments and ongoing international tensions.

During a recent live discussion on May 26 on “The View,” the hosts took a jab at the 79-year-old for skipping what many described as one of the most important days of his son’s life.

“The View” hosts trolled Donald Trump for not attending his son’s wedding. Whoopi Goldberg began the segment by saying that the oldest son of “you know who” got married in the Bahamas. She added that his father had explained why he could not attend the wedding.

The show then featured a clip of Trump speaking about the matter in the Oval Office. He said that his son wanted him at the wedding and that it would be a small gathering, adding that he would try to make it. Trump said, “I said, ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.’”

The President continued, “That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed — by the fake news, of course, I’m talking about.” He concluded by saying that he wished the couple a great marriage. Ultimately, he decided not to attend the wedding.

After the clip aired, co-host Joy Behar took a dig at him, joking that if the wedding had been at McDonald’s, maybe he would have gone. Alyssa Farah Griffin then joined the conversation, saying that she had discussed the matter on CNN as well and believed he should have attended.

Griffin added, “A parent should try to never miss their child’s funeral, or, I’m sorry — oh, God — wedding.” She quickly clarified that she was tired because she has a 3-month-old baby and said, “That was not meant.” She continued by saying that people would criticize Trump far more for skipping the wedding than for attending it. Behar then chuckled and joked that he could go to the next one.
