The couple moved in together last year, and Hewitt announced her pregnancy in July. However, they split just five months after their daughter was born. According to recent posts and comments by Hewitt, she feels quite alone on her motherhood journey, managing childcare and financial responsibilities on her own, and is facing “emotionally and physically exhausting” challenges.
A source said, “She’s talking about the day-to-day reality of raising her baby largely on her own while also trying to continue working and building stability for herself and her daughter.” The source adds about their relationship troubles, “They had relationship challenges for a while, which was very stressful for her, and she feels the full mental load of motherhood right now (via People).”
Hewitt has also posted about needing “assistance” with raising her daughter, saying, “I’m currently trying to find an assistant/mother’s helper/nanny type/basically [a] right hand person.”
In response, Pete Davidson has reportedly stepped up to provide full financial support for raising Scottie. A source close to him stated, “Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more.” They added, “He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”
