Ryan Reynolds Wants Deadpool 4 To Have 3 Huge Mutants — Report

A new rumor suggests that Ryan Reynolds wants Deadpool 4 to have three major mutants. Two of these are characters he has previously crossed paths with, while one is someone he has yet to meet on the big screen. Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed a fourth movie. However, the actor has an idea for where he wants to take the character next.

Ryan Reynolds reportedly wants Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and two more to return

Ryan Reynolds reportedly wants Deadpool to reunite with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and also join forces with Cable and Storm in the next movie, according to a new rumor.

This comes from a notable industry insider and scooper, Daniel RPK. Needless to say, the information about Deadpool 4 is nothing more than a rumor as it’s not from official sources.

With a fourth entry in the franchise currently unconfirmed, it’s unclear when the Merc with a Mouth is showing up in the MCU next. However, Reynolds recently said that fans shouldn’t expect him to be a main character moving forward.

Speaking to TODAY, where he confirmed he wrote some material for the character, The Adam Project star stated, “I don’t think I’m going to ever center him again. I think he’s a supporting character. He’s a guy that is great in a group.”

Previously, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds expressed interest in Deadpool meeting the Avengers and X-Men. However, he made it clear that he shouldn’t be a member of either of those groups and stay an “outsider.” He reasoned that joining those teams meant ending what can be creatively achieved with him.

“His ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated. But he can’t be accepted,” the actor explained. “His coping mechanism of deflecting shame through humor works only when used to pave over his many inadequacies.” Reynolds continued, “If and when he does become an Avenger or X-Man, we’re at the end of his journey.”

Moreover, he expressed interest in pairing Deadpool and Wolverine again in some form. While he deemed a fourth outing with the former as a lead “little iterative and redundant,” he clarified it didn’t mean “sacrificing fun.” He added, “There is still an arc for Deadpool which is fulfilling and powerful.”
