Donald Trump praises young woman’s ‘great shape,’ faces backlash
Donald Trump‘s recent golf outing with his 17-year-old grandson became a topic of discussion after he commented on a young woman’s body.
On Sunday, Trump was driving around his golf club in West Palm Beach in a golf cart when he spotted the woman identified as Nina Coates. Coates was jumping in excitement as she spotted Trump, who pointed at her and commented, “She’s in great shape! She’s in great shape, look at her.” He then asked if she wanted a picture as he got out of the cart, adding, “Is she in good shape or what?”
Trump then put an arm around the woman as they posed for a photo. Pointing at the camera, the President asked the woman if the person taking their image was “her husband.”
The interaction has attracted backlash from users on social media. A user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “DISGUSTING – what’s wrong with these people that think there’s anything funny or right about this! It’s appalling!!” Another user went on to label the interaction as “creepy” and stated, “She looks like his granddaughter.” A third user was seemingly in disbelief and asked, “Ewwwwww. Agh. Is this real? Or have we all expired, and this is some kind of hell?”
Another user commented, “He is so creepy! Stops for this women, then keeps pointing out she is fit and asking if she is married!” On TikTok, Coates thanked Trump for his words, calling them the “best compliment,” to which she added a laughing emoji and a heart emoji.
