A Few Avengers To Have Smaller Roles in Doomsday

A familiar shield may not carry the same weight this time around. New comments surrounding one returning Avenger hint that their role in Avengers: Secret Wars could look very different from what’s expected after Doomsday.

Chris Evans’ Steve might have a smaller role in Avengers: Secret Wars

Avengers: Secret Wars is set to feature the return of Chris Evans, although his exact role remains unconfirmed. Evans stated, “I start work on the next one in a couple of months, so I’m in the next one. There’s that.” He did not specify that he would play Steve Rogers in the film.

The update builds on earlier developments from Avengers: Doomsday, where Steve Rogers is expected to have a prominent role. Evans has not clarified which character he will portray, but his statement aligns with ongoing production plans for the final installment of the Multiverse Saga.

Insider Cryptic HD QUALITY responded to the update, stating, “Some of those who had bigger roles in Doomsday will have smaller ones in SW.” Cryptic HD QUALITY made this comment in direct response to Evans’ return announcement. It indicates a possible shift in character prominence between the two films.

Evans has not confirmed that he will portray Steve Rogers, leaving his role officially unspecified. However, his confirmed return alongside Cryptic’s statement suggests that he may reprise Steve. The statement also indicates that the character may have a reduced role compared to Doomsday.

Marvel Studios will conclude the Multiverse Saga with Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for release on December 17, 2027. The studio has confirmed that the film will serve as a major turning point and will lead to a soft reboot.

Evans last portrayed Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame, where the character retired after returning the Infinity Stones and living a life with Peggy Carter. He will return in Avengers: Doomsday, marking his first appearance since that storyline concluded.
