‘Where Does Pete Hegseth Live?’ trend explained
Unidentified drones were recently spotted above the Washington Army base where Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio live. According to The Washington Post, three people were briefed on the situation. Two of them noted that the U.S. officials have not yet determined the origin of the drones.
As per the report, the officials had considered relocating Rubio and Hegseth after detecting the drones over Fort McNair. However, a senior administration official said that the secretaries remain in their original residences. Multiple media outlets had previously reported that they were moving into military bases last October.
The Pentagon and the US State Department refused to make any statements regarding the unidentified drone sightings. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell stated, “The department cannot comment on the secretary’s movements for security reasons, and reporting on such movements is grossly irresponsible.”
Following the drone sightings, Hegseth’s location is trending across the internet. Several netizens have begun to search “Where Does Pete Hegseth Live?” amid security concerns. No further updates have been received until now regarding the situation.
The U.S. military has been on high alert amid the ongoing Iran war and has locked down several domestic bases as they continue to monitor potential threats. As per The Washington Post report, facilities at MacDill Air Force Base were locked down. “To ensure the safety and security of our people and the mission, commanders adjust their installation’s security posture in accordance with local threat assessments,” an Air Force spokesperson stated.
