Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi’s PDA Is a ‘Calculated’ Move — Source

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi have captured public attention while promoting their upcoming romantic drama “Wuthering Heights.” Their apparent closeness has dominated headlines throughout the film’s rollout. Now, insiders are suggesting the narrative surrounding their chemistry may have been intentionally amplified, calling it a “coordinated publicity push.” According to sources, the buzz may serve a “calculated PR maneuver” as much as a romantic storyline.

OK! Magazine recently reported that the intense public chemistry between Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi during the rollout of “Wuthering Heights” was allegedly by design. The pair star as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in director Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel. The story is known to be famous for its all-consuming, destructive romance.

One insider close to the production reportedly claimed the strategy was deliberate from the beginning. “From the outset, the strategy was to blur the lines between fiction and reality,” the source alleged. They added that the marketing team made a “conscious decision to amplify” the actors’ on-screen intensity in real life.

According to the insider, the lingering looks, effusive compliments, and repeated references to “obsession” in interviews were not “accidental” but part of a coordinated effort to “make their connection feel palpable and irresistible.” Elordi fueled speculation in a recent interview when he said of Robbie, “We have a mutual obsession. I was enamoured by her, and still am.” Robbie similarly remarked that she developed a “co-dependency quite quickly” with her co-star.

However, the reported strategy has allegedly raised questions within Robbie’s inner circle, particularly regarding her husband, Tom Ackerley, whom she married in 2016. Ackerley also served as a producer on the film. One source claimed that while he understands “the mechanics of the industry” and how amplifying chemistry can help sell tickets, friends allegedly wonder whether the spectacle has been uncomfortable on a personal level.

“Outwardly, he’s saying all the right things and maintaining that he’s completely comfortable with it,” an insider reportedly said. However, they added that there may be a difference between appreciating a marketing tactic and being unaffected by it emotionally.
