Ex-Prince Andrew Feels ‘He’s Being Sacrificed’ Amid Arrest — Source

The fallout from ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest continues to draw attention, and the former duke reportedly believes he has become the royal family’s easiest target as the case moves further. Andrew is allegedly feeling increasingly cut off as the investigation deepens. Now, sources close to the former royal claim he would not stay silent if the legal pressure grows.

Ex-Prince Andrew will ‘fight back’ if investigation into arrest deepens, per source

In an exclusive report for Rob Shuter, a longtime associate of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor claimed that the ex-prince “feels isolated — and unfairly singled out” in the royal family. They added, “If he thinks he’s being sacrificed, he won’t take it quietly.”

The police arrested Andrew on February 19 at the King Charles’ Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and authorities questioned him for around 11 hours before releasing him under investigation. Reports have linked the arrest to suspicion of misconduct in public office, but the police have not released full details of the allegations.

In October 2025, King Charles III formally stripped Andrew of the title of Prince and his peerage titles, including Duke of York, leaving him legally known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Besides, the king has said of the current criminal case that “the law must take its course.”

Now, Shuter’s report focuses on Andrew’s mindset as the case continues drawing attention. Those around him claim he believes he has little support and that the situation has started to feel personally heavy. Meanwhile, another insider puts it more starkly, claiming, “Andrew has never been someone who folds under pressure. If this intensifies, he will fight — and that could rattle more than just him.”

Amid the high-profile arrest of Andrew, the stakes are high for the royal family. Hence, any new twist involving him puts the monarch in a difficult position, since the family still tries to project order while the investigation carries on. And now, Andrew reportedly sees the moment as a test of whether anyone stands by him or whether he must defend himself on his own.
