U.S. President Donald Trump’s attorney general, Pam Bondi, has been accused of lying under oath about the Epstein Files by Democrat representative Ted Lieu. The new documents released under the Epstein files brought forth several details related to the incumbent U.S. government. The disclosure made it evident that Trump told police in the mid-2000s that everyone was aware of the late convicted financier’s crimes. However, he and the administration have denied having any knowledge of them.
Pam Bondi accused of lying under oath
According to a report by The Hill, Democrat rep Ted Lieu recently accused U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi of lying under oath about the Epstein Files.
Following the release of the new documents of the infamous Epstein Files, Lieu stated that it suggests the US President was also a guest at the late convicted financier’s parties. Previously, the documents shed new light on the alleged relationship between Trump and Epstein, which the former has been denying.
Lieu, in his questioning, stated, “I want to know, were there any underage girls at that party or any party that Trump attended with Jeffrey Epstein.” Moreover, after Lieu played a footage of Trump and Epstein together at a gathering, Bondi denounced it and said, “This is so ridiculous. They are trying to deflect from all the great things Donald Trump has done. There is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime.”
Her response soon ignited a fiery reply from Lieu, who claimed that she lied under oath. He also showed unverified claims from a driver about Trump. He said, “I’m going to put up another document from a witness who called the FBI national threat operation center because I believe you just lied under oath.” Bondi, however, slammed back by telling Lieu not to accuse her.
On the other hand, Rep. Dan Goldman also raised an email in this context. He claimed that the unredacted version of it contains hidden details about Epstein and Trump’s alleged relationship.
