Mark Ruffalo Joins ‘QuitGPT’ Campaign Against ChatGPT

Mark Ruffalo shows his support for the “QuitGPT” campaign against OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The campaign began on Reddit and has quickly gained traction on Instagram as well. A certain section of users is complaining about its subpar quality; however, the majority are displeased with OpenAI’s president, Greg Brockman’s favorable political leanings toward President Trump and the current regime.

Mark Ruffalo joins forces with the “QuitGPT” campaign against ChatGPT. Fans are aware that actor-activist Ruffalo is openly critical of the Trump regime and does not hesitate to call out any entity that associates itself with Trump as well. The “Quit GPT” campaign has launched an Instagram post dedicated to the cause.

The Avengers star is openly campaigning against ChatGPT. The caption on the post reads, “ChatGPT’s president is Trump’s biggest donor. It’s time to boycott. To every artist who wants to fight back against AI and stand with Minneapolis: this is your chance. Join us at quitgpt.org.”

Ruffalo’s statement on the post reads, “ChatGPT’s President is Trump’s biggest donor. Their tech powers ICE. It’s time to boycott. Quit GPT.” For those unversed, OpenAI’s president Greg Brockman has given President Donald Trump’s super PAC MAGA Inc. a hefty donation of $25 million. Brockman is Trump’s biggest donor, according to the Instagram campaign.

Not only that, ICE uses a résumé screening tool powered by ChatGPT-4 (via MIT Technology Review). The campaign urges users to boycott ChatGPT and instead experiment with other chatbots. The third slide in the post states, “making an example of OpenAI shows every CEO the cost of enabling Trump.”

In fact, Ruffalo has suggested alternative options to users in the comments section of this post. He wrote, “There are other other chat apps you can use that are actually just as good, or cheaper or more private, that don’t fund evil in the world. Lumo from ProtonMail comes to mind, but also DuckDuckGo. I am sure there are so many more.”

Fans have responded positively to the campaign in the comments section. One fan commented, “just don’t use ai, we’re in a state of water bankruptcy.” A second fan praised Ruffalo by writing, “Dr Banner, the voice of reason.” As of writing, the post has garnered 1.5 million likes and 7.4K comments.
