Apple TV’s Lucky With Anya Taylor-Joy Gets Teaser & Release Date

Apple TV+ has released the first teaser and a release date for its star-studded upcoming limited show, headlined by Anya Taylor-Joy. The streaming service made the exciting announcement during its 2026 press day.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Timothy Olyphant’s Lucky gets teaser and release date

Apple TV has set the release date of Anya Taylor-Joy’s upcoming show for July 15, 2026. But that’s when only the first two episodes of Lucky will make their global debut on the platform. The new installments will release weekly every Wednesday through August 19. The series adapts Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel of the same name. Also, it is the latest pick from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine book club to get the screen treatment.

In Lucky, Taylor-Joy stars as Lucky, a sharp con artist whose life spirals after a multi-million-dollar heist goes wrong. Forced on the run, Lucky finds herself hunted by both the FBI and a dangerous crime boss named Priscilla, played by Annette Bening. The stakes rise quickly as Lucky fights to survive and carve out an escape.

Timothy Olyphant plays John, Lucky’s father, adding a personal layer to the high-risk chase. The ensemble cast also includes Drew Starkey as Lucky’s husband, Cary, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as FBI agent Billie Rand, along with Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner.

The Lucky teaser opens with a violent car crash, sending Anya Taylor-Joy’s character through a windshield before flashing through moments described as “a period of bad decisions over an extended period of time.”

The footage teases betrayal, danger, and desperation, setting the tone for a tense cat-and-mouse thriller. First-look further shows the show’s moody visual style, from shadowy close-ups of Lucky to striking character close-ups of the supporting cast.

Taylor-Joy is also the executive producer through her LadyKiller banner. The Apple TV show is co-showrun, written, and executive-produced by Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas.
