Yes, Roblox Is Getting a ‘Steal a Brainrot’ Movie

Roblox is the next video game set to get a movie adaptation, as Story Kitchen, a production house widely known for adapting video games into movies and shows, is in the early stages of developing a “Steal a Brainrot” movie. The popular Roblox experience debuted in May 2025 and has since grown quite a huge audience.

Roblox’s ‘Steal a Brainrot’ is getting a movie adaptation

Story Kitchen has previously worked on popular video game-to-movie adaptations like Sonic the Hedgehog and Tomb Raider. Now, it is planning to adapt Roblox’s “Steal a Brainrot” in collaboration with the creators of the game. The studio is partnering with Do Big Studios and Spyder Games for the production.

For those unversed, the “Steal a Brainrot” mini-game tasks Roblox players with buying meme versions of collectible monsters, called “brainrots.” They can not only make money and sell these brainrots, but also steal them from other players.

Per Deadline, the experience has so far drawn in 56.6 billion visits and is currently supporting over 400,00 users. Moreover, in October 2025, the number reached an all-time high of 25.8 million concurrent players.

The outlet has further reported that the adaptation will “embody the experience’s signature combination of chaos, comedy, and competitive mischief, inviting audiences into a fast-paced world where every score can make you rich, every risk can reset your run, and every rival is one move away from taking it all back.”

Besides Story Kitchen founders Dmitri M. Johnson and Michael Lawrence Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson and Elena Sandoval will also lead the project. Furthermore, Think Influence, which represents the creators of “Steal a Brainrot,” will also work on the upcoming adaptation.

In a joint public statement, Johnson and Goldberg said, “We’re thrilled to bring STEAL A BRAINROT to the big screen.” They aptly concluded by writing, “Noobini Pizzanini 6-7,” which is a popular brainrot term.

Notably, Story Kitchen’s partnership with Moonrock resulted in the “Steal a Brainrot” collaboration. The company also has first-look deals with Amazon MGM Studios and Dreamworks, for television and animated film, respectively. Meanwhile, no release date window or cast details for the Roblox movie have been announced as of writing.
