Melania Trump has revealed that her son Barron Trump now plays a more active role in family discussions about politics, even offering advice to his father, Donald Trump. The First Lady shared the insight ahead of the premiere of her new documentary.

In a recent interview on Mornings With Maria, Melania Trump shared intimate details about her son Barron’s growth and his role within the family. She emphasized how his involvement has changed since his father’s first inauguration, when Barron was just 10 years old.
“He’s [an] incredible young man, we are very proud of him,” Melania quipped. “This time it’s very different because he’s 19 years old and first time he was 10 years old. He understands politics, he gives advice to his father, we talk about it, so very different.”
This revelation provides a rare look into the private life of Barron Trump, who is known for staying out of the public eye. His last major appearance was at the presidential inauguration, a moment captured in the trailer for the Melania documentary, which shows the First Lady with her arm around her son in their inauguration attire.
Barron Trump is the youngest of President Donald Trump’s children and the only child of the couple. Now a sophomore at New York University’s Stern School of Business, which his mother says he “loves,” the 19-year-old is often noted for his height, reported to be approximately 6-foot-7.
While elusive, he has been credited by his father for helping to connect with younger voters through social media trends. Despite his privacy preference, Barron attended a private White House screening of his mother’s film on January 24, and, as previously mentioned, is featured in the project that chronicles her journey.
The Melania documentary will be in theaters on January 30, with a future release on Amazon Prime.
