Victoria Beckham stepped out in Paris after her son Brooklyn Beckham’s recent public claims about the family rift, and a body language expert claimed she looked as composed as ever. Victoria and her husband, David Beckham, appeared together during Paris Fashion Week. Their children, Harper, Cruz, and Romeo, joined them along with Cruz’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, and Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. The family traveled to France as the former Spice Girl was preparing to receive the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
Victoria Beckham didn’t look too bothered after Brooklyn’s claims, says expert
Days after Victoria Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, released a controversial public statement, she and David Beckham stepped out together with their kids. Photos show them leaving their hotel hand-in-hand. The fashion designer wore a sleek black dress with a high slit and carried a small black handbag, while her husband wore a double-breasted suit and tie.
In an interview with The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said David appeared to take on a protective role as the family faced intense headlines. She claimed, “David’s body language here looks strong, rather stern and protective here, while Victoria’s projects what looks like calm defiance or resilience.”
Moreover, James pointed to David’s “signature ‘tow-along’ pose,” which had apparently “received a very dramatic upgrade here, to make him look emphatically alpha and strongly protective of his family, especially his wife.” The body language expert further added that David created space in front of Victoria as they walked, describing it as “what looks like more of a protective barrier.”
She claimed that the former athlete’s stance suggested he wanted to project strength during a difficult moment. However, James stressed that Victoria did not appear shaken in the images. She noted, “Victoria is not looking fragile or in need of being towed here though,” adding, “Her chin is raised and she has a part smile on her face.”
James summed up the appearance as a deliberate show of unity, saying, “He and Victoria seem to be very much supporting each other and suggesting the Beckham brand is undented by any controversial rifts.”
