Rumors surrounding Avengers: Doomsday suggest new details about Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Doctor Doom. Insider @MyTimeToShineHello claims, “Doom wears the mask for most of Doomsday and he also has an accent.” This comes amid theories speculating Doom might be a Tony Stark Variant, given Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a non-Iron Man role.

The same source has also described the movie’s opening sequence, saying it begins with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man fighting the X-Men, “and particularly Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.” The rumor supports earlier claims that an Incursion event destroys Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Universe, pushing Maguire’s Peter Parker to restore his world and loved ones in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
