Russell Brand shared his thoughts on the latest court sketch amid two fresh charges. He shared a screenshot of an article published by The Independent on social media. He added a brief caption in which he described the accompanying court sketch as “injustice.” Before these additional charges, Brand pleaded not guilty to five charges: two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault.

What Russell Brand posted about court sketch

Brand faced additional charges in December 2025, which consisted of one count of rape and one count of sexual assault. On January 20, he connected via video call for his trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in the British capital. While the trial lasted six minutes, it was reported that he didn’t say anything apart from confirming his name and birth date. Though he was granted bail, he will appear before the court again on February 17 at London’s Southwark Crown Court.

Recently, he took to X to share a screenshot of The Independent’s article about his additional charges, which also included his court sketch. He wrote, “Never mind anything else. This court sketch is an injustice.” In the image, Brand could be seen wearing a blue denim shirt, sporting his signature long hair.

Brand has denied the initial charges linked to alleged offenses involving four women between 1999 and 2005. In January 2024, Tucker Carlson interviewed him and asked how the allegations had affected his life. He said, “I’m aware that I put myself in an extremely vulnerable position by being very, very promiscuous, [but] that is not the type of conduct I endorse, and it’s certainly not how I would live now.”

Denying the allegations, he further stated, “Of course, I deny any allegations of the kind that have been advanced – and what I have seen is the significance of family and the importance of beliefs that are transcendent of this.”

He further recalled what was going on in his life when he was alleged. “My son was born with a heart condition and while this [the allegations being made] was happening he was undergoing heart surgery. He was 12 weeks old and I suppose what that did, Tucker, is it revealed that what we were experiencing was a public concoction,” he elaborated.
