Star magazine exclusively reported that Britney Spears’ younger son, Jayden, has been spending time with his mom and has also tried to help smooth things over with his older brother, Sean. A source told the outlet, “Both of Britney’s boys love her, but the last few years, it’s only been Jayden that’s been willing to spend time with her.”
Moreover, the insider added that Sean has had limited contact. They claimed, “Sean has spoken to her a couple of times, mostly just to make his brother happy, but so far, he hasn’t been willing to visit her.”
Star’s report suggested that Sean’s hesitation hasn’t changed much, with an insider claiming, “He’s still very wary of her,” while also noting that the singer’s younger son seems less shaken by Spears’ behavior: “Jayden understands where Sean is coming from, but he’s not nearly as bothered by his mom’s antics. A lot of what she does seems to roll off his back.”
Furthermore, sources point to how the brothers handled the holidays. Star previously reported that while Jayden spent Christmas with Spears in California, Sean chose to spend the holiday in Louisiana with the musician’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her family.
As far as gifts and money go, the source explained, “Britney spoiled Jayden, of course,” and added, “People will say that’s why he was there, but that is totally off the mark.” The insider continued, “Britney still gave Sean just as much even though he went to her sister’s place.”
Even with the distance from her elder son, the source claimed that Spears hasn’t shut either kid out emotionally, noting, “Britney doesn’t withhold her love from her boys, no matter what she might say when she’s angry.” The insider added that “her love for them is totally unconditional.”
