Sources suggest Jennifer Garner wants Ben Affleck to find someone
Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, is reportedly encouraging him to move forward in his personal life. A new Radar Online report suggests that Garner believes a stable romantic relationship would benefit their long-term co-parenting arrangement. Although the former couple divorced in 2015, they remain closely connected through their three children and continue to spend time together during family milestones.
According to insiders, Garner views Affleck as “family” and expects him to remain a constant presence in her life because of their parenting responsibilities. “He’s going to be in her life forever because of their children – that’s why Jen has a vested interest in seeing him with someone who she likes,” a source said.
The same insider explained, “She wants to see him in a stable relationship so she can focus on her life with John,” referring to Garner’s ongoing relationship with businessman John Miller. Despite moving on romantically, Garner and Affleck recently spent Thanksgiving together in Los Angeles with their children.
Sources also claim Garner has lingering concerns about Affleck’s past relationships resurfacing. “Jen can’t help but have this horrible feeling he could end up making the mistake of getting back together with J.Lo,” referencing renewed speculation earlier this year. However, Affleck reportedly dismissed such suggestions and “got very defensive.”
According to sources, the speculation alone has been unsettling for Garner. “Even if it means playing matchmaker for him,” they said. A separate Rob Shuter report indicated that Affleck is currently focused on maintaining balance within his household as his family adjusts to recent changes.
