Prince Harry Labeled ‘Spoiled Brat’ Over Reported King Charles Invite

Prince Harry has sparked a heated debate in the UK after reports claimed he plans to invite King Charles to open the Invictus Games. The event returns to Britain next year. While some royal commentators see the move as a potential olive branch, critics on British television have sharply condemned it.

TV presenter calls Prince Harry’s reported Invictus Games invite to King Charles ’embarrassing’

Appearing on GB News, presenter Nana Akua branded the Duke of Sussex’s actions “embarrassing.” Prince Harry was also accused of behaving like a “spoilt brat.” She argued that instead of extending a high-profile invitation, Harry should focus on privately reconnecting with his father. “He should just bring the kids to see the King,” she said. She added that after years of publicly criticizing the UK and the royal family, the reported gesture felt uncomfortable to many viewers.

The criticism follows reports that Harry intends to invite King Charles III to attend and possibly open the Invictus Games in Birmingham. If confirmed, the appearance would mark one of the most public interactions between father and son in years. It could signal an easing of long-standing tensions. Harry and the King have met only briefly in recent years.

Royal commentator Ian Lloyd defended the reported plan, calling it a “win-win.” Speaking on GB News’ The People’s Channel, Lloyd said the King’s presence would generate global attention. He added that it could reinforce the importance of the Invictus Games. “It would show the world they’re getting along,” Lloyd explained. “It would focus on the Games and help with publicity.”

Nana Akua doubled down on her criticism, saying, “I think a lot of people in this country are looking at this and thinking, ‘Harry is a spoilt brat,’ and perhaps he could just bring the kids to see the King because that’s really what this should be about. He’s slagged off this country and his own family, it’s all very embarrassing.”
