Michael B. Jordan has opened up about preparing for parenthood. Last week, Netflix put out a teaser for David Letterman’s My Next Guest Season 6, revealing the three guests for the season. Similar to Season 5, the upcoming season will also feature only three episodes, of which one will see Jordan spending time with Letterman. In a new promo shared by the streaming platform, Jordan discusses wanting to have kids, but only after a few tests.
Michael B. Jordan wants to have kids, but there are some tests
In Netflix’s recently uploaded promo for Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, the Black Panther actor opens up to Letterman about having kids. As the duo play a game of darts, talking about marriage, Letterman describes what his marriage looks like, sharing an anecdote about buying celery together with his wife. As he says he’s “on the edge,” Jordan asks, “No pets?” He replies, “Two of the best dogs. Gone,” before turning the question back and asking, “Pets for you?”
Jordan then explains, “Nah. I wanted to start out small. I want children. Yeah, I want kids one day. But I figure I gotta start off with plants and dogs to see if I can…” Letterman then interrupts, saying, “I see. Plants. Dogs. Humans,” with Jordan agreeing, “There it is! If I can take care of a plant, I should be able to get a dog. If the dog’s cool, then I have a shot.” Letterman follows up saying, “You will love it.”
The Sinners actor then mentioned how he might feel after having a kid, saying, “I’ll be wondering what took me so long, right?” Letterman then comforted him by letting him know he is “right on schedule.” Season 6 of My Next Guest will come out on Netflix on December 16 featuring Letterman’s in-depth and wholesome interviews with Michael B. Jordan, Jimmy Donaldson a.k.a MrBeast, and Jason Bateman.
