Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme Pop-up Needed the LAPD for This Reason

A24 announced a pop-up event for Timothée Chalamet‘s upcoming film, Marty Supreme, in Los Angeles, and fans lined up early, forming a growing crowd, prompting police intervention. When it was time to let fans in, the organizers found it difficult to manage the crowd, causing police to arrive at the scene.

LAPD arrived at Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme Pop-up for this reason

On Sunday, A24 Films hosted a pop-up store for Timothée Chalamet’s upcoming film Marty Supreme in Los Angeles. Fans reportedly lined up outside the venue starting 7 p.m. on the previous day to get their hands on some official Marty Supreme merchandise. In a clip on X, a fan shared a video of the long queue along the sidewalk, before panning the camera toward an orange Marty Supreme airship circling the venue in Los Angeles. As the line got longer, fans started crowding in front of the store to get in, which led to the LAPD arriving at the scene.

Even though they didn’t find it necessary to intervene, LAPD were present near the pop-up store. As per a video obtained by TMZ, several LAPD officers gathered at a short distance from the pop-up store. The person filming asks an officer whether they’ll declare it to be an “unlawful gathering,” to which the officer responded saying, “I don’t know yet. It depends on whether it stays lawful or not.” The outlet reported that the LAPD left the scene without needing to cite anyone or shut down the store.

In another video, a woman managing the event tells fans to line up to form a single line and not crowd in front of the entry. She also shouted, informing fans that only people with tickets would get to enter, and requested those without tickets to leave. Directed by Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme comes out in theaters on December 25, 2025, starring Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler, The Creator, among others.
