AJ Styles Pulled From Even More WWE Live Events

WWE Champion AJ Styles is still dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained at the WWE TLC PPV.

WWE officials were hopeful that Styles would be able to return at last night at the Smackdown Live taping but as seen on the show his match with James Ellsworth had to be postponed. The main event instead featured a fatal four-way which Dolph Ziggler won to become the #1 contender to Styles’ title.

AJ Styles has now been pulled from all WWE Smackdown Live events until their December 26th show at Madison Square Garden. Styles will defend his title against Dean Ambrose and John Cena in a triple threat match. He will then defend his title the next night on Smackdown Live against James Ellsworth.

On last night’s Talking Smack Styles told Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan that he, “could go,” if he needed to wrestle.

The Usos Offer Update On Jey’s Injury On Talking Smack

The Usos were also featured on last night’s episode of Talking Smack. During their appearance they noted that they are currently out of action while Jey deals with an ankle injury. They then noted Zack Ryder’s injury last night on Smackdown Live and offer to take The Hype Bros place as the new #1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.

When pressed if Jey’s ankle would be good to go by next week’s episode Jey responded by saying, “It’s gonna be right. I’m gonna tape it and put some wood on it. Then I’m going to tape the wood to it and wrap some wire on it because we are going to go!”
