PWInsider.com is reporting Pentagon Jr and Fenix are not signing with WWE, as it was heavily rumored that the two would be headed to the company.

The report notes the two are still locked into non-compete deals under their Lucha Underground agreements until 2020, and they would appear on the fifth season if the show gets picked up for an addition season. According to PWInsider, Pentagon and Fenix both entered negotiations with Impact Wrestling for a new agreement including a pay increase for dates next year. The meeting was said to have taken place during Impact’s TV tapings in Mexico City last week.

Additionally, the Lucha Brothers have agreed to a number of dates with MLW in 2019, and they will also continue to work dates in AAA and CMLL, as well as independent wrestling appearances in North America such as AAW in the Midwest and Northeast Wrestling in the tri-state area.

Finally, it was noted that Masked Republic has been working with the brothers on a formal trademark for their ‘Lucha Brothers’ name. Formal registration on the mark has been completed and merchandise for the two would include shirts, hats and costumes; they are also featured in MR’s new “Luchaverse” comic book series.
