AJ Styles Retains The WWE Championship In Controversial Fashion

The WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe was not without controversy, as Styles retained the title in what can only be described as a Dusty Finish.

Styles reversed the Coquina Clutch to pin Joe, but instant replay showed that Styles submitted out of the line of the referee’s vision as soon as he counted to three. An angry Joe tried to challenge the dispute only to be knocked out of the ring by Styles.
