Reported Reason Why WWE Has No Interest In Working W/ Awesome Kong

Dave Meltzer took to Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed why WWE has no reported interest in working with Awesome Kong, even with the Evolution pay-per-view coming up in October:

“Yeah, I think that they haven’t gotten over the fact that she was pretending to be pregnant when she really wasn’t. The story is that somewhere in the pregnancy she lost the baby; but, she still pretended to be pregnant for months after that and didn’t come back or tell anyone. It’s hard when you’re a company and someone does that to go, ‘Ok here’s your job back.’ That’s basically it. She already lost the baby and she was still telling them that she was pregnant. They kinda think that you’re kind of a nutcase; but, now she’s on GLOW which is a non-wrestling thing that’s gotten great reviews. It is a marketing business and if they think there’s any money to be made with her, they will bring her in for sure.”

Reported Value Of WWE Saudi Deal

Dave Meltzer recently appeared on Wrestling Observer Radio and commented on what he believes the WWE Saudi Arabian deal is worth:

“They didn’t say the number of the Saudi Arabian deal because it’s confidential; but, it looks like its about $45 million a year, which is an incredible amount of money. For ten years and maybe more going forward. It could escalate. It could have escalators like the other deals do. It could average out to $50 [million] or maybe even more. Its an incredible amount of money for one show [Greatest Royal Rumble] that grossed about $250,000 and the government spent $50 million or $45 million; but, I guess they were looking for their propaganda and they got it.”
