Kevin Owens will face Braun Strowman at Summerslam, and if Strowman loses in any fashion, Owens will win the Money In The Bank contract.
Owens proposed the match after telling Strowman that he had nothing left to prove to him, but he would take everything away from him. Baron Corbin came out to handle the situation by order of Stephanie McMahon, and they all met backstage with Kurt Angle. Owens said he wanted the match because Angle let things get out of control, and explained why he wanted the match. Angle said he wasn’t going to do it, but Stephanie interjected and said it was a great idea and set the match up.
Owens versus Strowman is the fourth confirmed match at Summerslam; the WWE Universal Championship, WWE Championship and Smackdown Tag Team Championship will all be on the line, with challengers to be determined.
