Juice Robinson GOES OFF On WWE & His NXT Release Following Huge Win At NJPW G1 Special (Video)

Juice Robinson won the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship from Jay White at G1 Special In San Francisco. Robinson spoke to the press after one of the biggest wins of his career and started off going off on WWE and his NXT release and spoke about why titles mattered in wrestling:

“Anybody who says titles don’t matter in this business can burn in hell, alright, let’s be honest. If titles don’t matter then why the hell are we doing this? Titles do f*cking matter. Titles matter and the United States Championship matters. It matters and you know what, now, Juice matters. All of a sudden, presto change-o, you leave f*cking NXT, the only place that’s supposed to matter. I was told, the last thing before I left NXT, Canyon Ceman told me, he looked at me and told me CJ Parker…I should use my shoot name Joe Robinson, he told me, Joe go out and make yourself a star.

F*ck, it’s taken 3 years but I landed on my feet. That’s right, I landed on my feet. Fast forward 3 years WWE, NXT and all that sh*t you guys constantly ask me about, I know because that’s all that we talk about, that’s all we talk about – WWE and NXT. But that’s in the rearview now and guess what, I’m not going back. I ain’t ever going back. It’s okay. Guess what, guys like Cody Rhodes, guys like Kenny Omega, more guys like that, Will Ospreay, the big stars, the big “independent” stars. Independent, you can take that and shove it up your a**. They’re stars baby and I might not be a star yet but I’m getting there. So titles do matter and guess what Canyon Ceman, I’m doing my damnedest to make myself a star.”
