Austin Aries is once again the Impact Wrestling World Champion after defeating Pentagon Jr at their ‘Under Pressure’ themed event.
Aries won the title after the match was restarted three times, and he low blowed Pentagon and hit a Brainbuster for the win. The match was stopped for a first time due to Aries refusing to release a submission hold, and both men were counted out. The match was stopped a second time due to both of them being counted out again, this time after a package piledriver on the apron. Aries ended up low blowing Pentagon after the champion cut a promo on him (in Spanish), so Aries called for the bell and hit Pentagon when the ref’s back was turned.
Aries begins his third Impact World Championship reign after losing to title at Redemption last month. Pentagon’s first and only Impact title reign ends at 39 days (televised).
