The Nashville Sounds minor league baseball team issued the following announcement:

The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has added WWE Hall of Fame member Jeff Jarrett as its Takeover Tuesday guest, presented by Pepsi, for Tuesday, May 29.

The Hendersonville native will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, do a Q&A @nashvillesounds Twitter takeover, sign autographs and perform “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch.

Well known for his country music attire and “Double J” nickname during his wrestling career, Jarrett was a six-time Intercontinental Champion. He was elected to the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6.

The Sounds are in the middle of a nine-game homestand against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Oklahoma City Dodgers. Jarrett’s Takeover Tuesday presented by Pepsi closes the homestand on the 29th.

The 2018 season is the Sounds’ 41st in franchise history and fourth as the Oakland Athletics’ top affiliate. Single-game tickets are available now by calling (615) 690-4487 or by visiting www.nashvillesounds.com.
