The Rock Backs Online Startup
Variety is reporting Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is backing Atom Tickets with his ex-wife and business partner Dany Garcia.
According to the report, Johnson and Garcia will join the company as investors and advisors; the company already has the backing of JJ Abrams, Steven Spielberg and Tyler Perry. The Rock issued the following comments in a statement:
“My main objective is to deliver entertainment that the world can enjoy. Coming aboard with Atom Tickets creates an opportunity for us to add even greater value to the moviegoing event. We are not only deepening the connection with our fans and their moviegoing experience, but also revolutionizing the business of ticket buying as a whole.”
