New Japan Pro Wrestling presents the culmination of their Wrestling Dontaku events on Friday. The event will be headlined by a clash between New Japan’s biggest stars of the modern era, IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tanahashi is intent on stopping Okada from breaking Tanahashi’s record of 11-successful title defenses. For Okada to get defense number 12, he’ll have to go through The Ace of New Japan.
Also on the card, Will Ospreay will defend his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship against KUSHIDA. Ospreay is out to prove that his victory over KUSHIDA in October was no fluke. KUSHIDA has carried the torch as the Ace of The Junior Heavyweights, but Ospreay is out to take that torch by hook or by crook.
Finally, Bullet Club’s Civil War finally comes to a head as Team Kenny Omega faces Team Cody in 10-man tag action.
Plus, Young Lions, LIJ vs. Suzuki-gun & a possible return of Bone Soldier.
