Medium.com used YouGov polling data to compile a list of the most recognizable wrestlers of all time. According to Damian Hospital of Medium,
“This could be a “Most Popular Wrestler of All Time List”. At the very least, it is which wrestlers have the highest brand name recognition.”
The results showed Hulk Hogan edging The Rock out for most recognizable wrestler ever. Here are the top 10 most recognizable wrestlers:
- 95% Hulk Hogan
- 94 % Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
- 79% John Cena
- 78% “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
- 68% Ronda Rousey
- 65% “Macho Man” Randy Savage
- 63% Vince McMahon
- 62% Ric Flair
- 53% “Rowdy” Roddy Piper
- 49% Dusty Rhodes
