Is Bobby Lashley WWE’s Plan B?

The Raw after WrestleMania is largely known for huge debuts and big returns. The crowd at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, and those of us watching at home, thankfully got to experience both in spades. However, given the recent main event scene on Monday Night Raw, one return really got my wheels turning.

Bobby Lashley is back in the WWE after some time in Impact Wrestling and on the independent scene. Lashley’s recent dominant run in Impact Wrestling from 2014 to 2018 was a huge point of his career, as he held the Impact Heavyweight Championship four times and honed both his in ring skill and mic work. Now that Lashley is back in WWE, though, one has to speculate about an eventual clash with the now seemingly unbeatable Brock Lesnar.

WrestleMania Aftermath

On the heels of a rather unexpected victory over Roman Reigns, there was a ton of speculation over Lesnar’s WWE future. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Lesnar was reportedly livid and entered a heated incident with Vince McMahon when he got backstage. Later though, a WWE press release broke news that Lesnar actually re-signed with WWE.

Rumors are all over about the contract details and how Lesnar felt after the Mania main event. If it turns out that Lesnar is sticking around a bit longer, he may be ripe for a feud with a fresh opponent that does not make the crowd chant “this is awful” during a supposed marquee main event match. Enter Bobby Lashley.
