Interesting Randy Orton / US Title Stat, Drew McIntyre Issues An ‘Advance Warning’ To NXT

WWE Fastlane

According to WWE Stats And Info, tonight’s Fastlane title match marks the first time in his nearly 16-year career that Randy Orton is challenging for the United States Championship.

Orton has competed in US title matches before, but he entered those matches as champion (*technically*) without actually winning the title in the first place. Orton competed as a substitute for Booker T in WWE’s “best of seven” series against Chris Benoit in 2006, with Booker going down to injury after holding a 3-1 lead.

Orton ended up winning the series 4-3, but Booker remained champion and Orton was never recognized as holding the title.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre posted the following warning to the NXT roster as he nears a return from injury; McIntyre has been sidelined since November with a torn biceps injury.
