In Ring Segment: AJ Styles
Renee Young ask Styles how he feels about the title match at Fastlane becoming a fatal five-way match. Before Renee can finish her thought, the crowd drowns her out with “AJ Styles” chants. Renee asks if Styles thinks he is still in control of his own destiny. Styles says he feels as though any man he steps into the ring with he can beat. Styles wants to put Kevin Owens through the announce table but if he does that Dolph Ziggler could be in the ring pinning Sami Zayn to win the WWE title. Styles says the ring steps are tailor-made to put Zayn’s face through but if Styles does that Ziggler could be pinning Owens in the middle of the ring. Put Styles in the ring against any one of them one-on-one and Styles will beat them one, two, three. Baron Corbin interrupts and says the last time he faced Styles he beat him.
Corbin beat Styles for the United States championship and he beat him in the rematch. Corbin claims to have Styles number. Reason being Styles is just an athlete. Corbin is a fighter. Corbin is looking forward to pinning Styles or someone else, either way, Corbin is going to be the next WWE champion. Owens comes out and says he is going to put Styles through the table. Corbin may talk tough but the lone wolf is just a scared little cub. Corbin says he dropped Owens last time he saw him and is going to do it again. Styles tells Owens that he looks great. Styles asks Owens if he got that boil lanced finally. Owens asks Styles what he is talking about. Styles says you know, the boil. Sami Zayn. Shane McMahon comes out and says there is a lot of talk coming from the ring tonight but we are all here for action. Shane books Corbin vs Styles for the main event. Shane tells Owens he is going to fight Ziggler right now. Owens is livid.
