On Street Profits taking on Authors of Pain for a WWE NXT Tag Title opportunity:

NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA will keep a close eye on tonight’s main event between The Street Profits and former champions The Authors of Pain. Per NXT General Manager William Regal, the winning duo will be slotted into a title match against Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on Jan. 27, making the outcome of pivotal interest to the controversial champions.

Even removing the golden opportunity from the equation, the match holds major intrigue: Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins have been unstoppable since forming their team, racking up win after win, but they’ve yet to encounter a team like AOP.

Don’t expect Akam & Rezar to be intimidated by the Profits’ win streak, Ford’s world-class athleticism or Dawkins’ face-rearranging fisticuffs. Paul Ellering’s monster charges know what it’s like to be unbeaten, at one point going undefeated for many months, and they know what it’s like to be NXT Tag Team Champions. Eager to reclaim those titles, Akam & Rezar are sure to give Dawkins & Ford their toughest challenge to date.

Find out which team fights its way into an NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity when The Street Profits face The Authors of Pain tonight at 8/7 C on the award-winning WWE Network.
