Backstage, Randy Orton says he has been dealing with everyone else’s issues except his own. Orton is looking to move forward. The only thing he is concerned with is winning the Royal Rumble. Shinsuke Nakamura walks in and says that’s a good idea. Let’s rumble.
AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens w/ Sami Zayn
Owens charges in and eats a dropkick by Styles. Styles knees Owens in the head. Owens trips Styles into the corner. Styles rolls Owens into the calf crusher. Owens gets to the ropes. Owens rolls out of the ring. Styles clotheslines Owens on the outside. Styles sends Owens back into the ring. Owens is limping. Owens kicks Styles away and Styles is sent flying out of the ring. Owens runs over Styles on the floor. Owens is hopping around on one leg. Owens brings Styles back into the ring and lands a senton for a near fall. Owens slaps on a rear chin lock. Styles gets to his feet and launches into the Styles combo. Owens catches Styles arm as he tries a spinning back fist. Owens destroys Styles with the Eye of the Hurricane. After the break, Owens is back to the rear chin lock. Styles gets to his feet. Owens elbows Styles in the back of the head. Owens knees Styles in the back then puts him back in the rear chin lock. Styles counters into a facebuster. Styles misses his backflip DDT. Owens destroys Styles with a lariat. Modified neck breaker by Owens. Styles kicks out. Owens tries the cannonball but Styles leaps to his feet and hits a Ushigoroshi.
Styles and Owens trade strikes. Styles finally hits the Styles combo. Styles turns Owens inside out with a clothesline. Basement elbow by Styles. Owens counters out of the Styles Clash. Styles floors Owens with the Pelé kick. Styles tries the Phoenominal forearm but Owen catches Styles on his shoulders. Gutbuster by Owens. Owens hits a second rope elbow for a near fall. Owens sits Styles on the top rope. Owens tries a superplex. Styles counters and takes Owens over with an inverted powerbomb. Owens rolls to the outside. Styles dives over the top and splashes Zayn. Zayn gets on the apron which leads to Owens superkicking Styles. Styles kicks out. Shane comes to ringside and throws Zayn out. As Shane and Zayn are arguing the referee is distracted. Styles rolls up Owens but the referee is nowhere to be found. Styles lets go and yells for the referee. Owens schoolboys Styles and gets the win.
Winner- Kevin Owens
After the match, Styles walks up the ramp as Owens and Zayn are celebrating. Styles glances at Shane and Shane apologizes. Styles just walks away.
