Ring of Honor World Champion Cody (aka Cody Rhodes) started Ring of Honor’s Global Wars: Chicago iPPV by cutting a promo addressing the following tweet from Roman Reigns to the live crowd. (Note, Cody did not say Reigns by name but did read it aloud):

To put Roman’s tweet in context, he was referring to this promo from Saturday night that Cody cut following successfully defending the Ring of Honor World Championship. In it he refers to himself as, “The biggest damn draw in this entire industry.”

Following reading the tweet, Cody took at shot at Reigns by saying he thought that he must wear his tactical vest to hide his past drug test failures. It was a firey promo to start the show. Definitely had an old-school Monday Night War vibe to it. Be sure to catch the replay if you can.
