NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling Results (10/9), Two Titles Change Hands, Naito vs. Ishii, Okada vs. EVIL

3rd Match: IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Funky Future (Ryusuke Taguchi & Ricochet) vs. Roppongi 3K (Sho Tanaka & Yohei Komatsu)

Roppongi 3K start the match on fire, hitting a synchronized dive to the outside onto the champs. The former Tempura Boyz put up an amazing fight against two NJPW franchise players. Funky Future dominated most of the match, but in offense only. Every move was met with a counter, or an escape route. Ricochet hit a Shooting Star Press on Yohei, but the pinfall was broken by a deadlift German Suplex from Yo. Roppongi 3K get the upper hand and hit their finisher, known as 3K, to get the pinfall and the titles.

WINNERS and NEW CHAMPS: Roppongi 3K.

4th Match: IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) vs. War Machine (Hanson vs. Raymond Rowe) vs. Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) [Tornado Tag Elimination Rules]

Complete and utter chaos was the name of the game for these three teams at the top. It was a montage of references to the three teams past matches, akin to modernist poetry. By the time the first fall was counted, every team had kicked out of every other team’s finisher, a trash can lid duel, and War Machine even pulling out the tables.

First Elimination: Killer Bomb on Tanga Loa to eliminate Guerrillas of Destiny.

After the first fall, Tama Tonga smashes Ray Rowe with a garbage can lid before the Guerrillas left the arena. Killer Bomb is broken up by a top rope dive from Hanson! After a prolonged battle, Hanson sets up a table and drapes Archer across it. He attempts a Moonsault but it’s countered by a Killer Bomb from KES to end a match that gave new meaning to the term “Tornado.”

WINNERS and STILL CHAMPS: Killer Elite Squad

5th Match: Bullet Club (Marty ScurllKenny Omega & Cody) vs. CHAOS (Jado, Beretta & Yoshi-Hashi)

The three Bullet Club leaders enter seperately, whereas CHAOS presents a united front with their entrance.

Bullet Club dominate the match, but eventually lose the upper hand by trying to one up each other with boot-assisted head smashes. Cody gets one boot in the corner to aid his attack, Marty gets two, Kenny gets 4 but ends up eating all four boots after a reversal. There’s a wild brawl on the outside, that includes a wild, heavyweight dive from Beretta. Bullet Club regain the advantage and Scurll trades offense with Jado, eventually locking in the Crossface Chickenwing for the submission.

WINNERS: Bullet Club.
