My latest piece on upgruv.com and their app is reaction from being at WWE Roadblock. Here’s an excerpt:

Pittsburgh was once again part of history with the “Roadblock” pay-per-view on Sunday night. Not sure if it was best for business, though.

Charlotte won the title…again. Her victory over Sasha Banks continued the game of hot potato with the Women’s championship. She is already only 12 title wins from matching her legendary title-reign mark.

OK, maybe a dozen more championship victories isn’t that close to Ric Flair’s magic number of16. But doesn’t it feel that way with Charlotte having her fourth title win in a very short amount of time?

The motivation might be to make both ladies look good trading title wins.

Try selling that to Sasha fans. Polling social media and some of the folks in attendance at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday night, many fans referred to Charlotte repeatedly winning on the bigger stage of a pay-per-view event while Sasha’s victories were on the free show of Monday Night RAW.

Charlotte’s victory over Sasha at WWE Roadblock kept her undefeated streak on pay-per-views intact. The match, despite my dislike for the outcome, was something to appreciate. The ladies went longer than the 30-minute stipulation for the women’s iron man because the falls were tied, 2-2, requiring a sudden-death overtime.

Given the level of performance from Charlotte and Shasha, considering the title change, and taking into account the much-discussed "end of the line" for this feud, it was a puzzling decision by WWE not to have this match end the evening. That call came off as even more confounding when the final match for the Universal Championship ended with a disqualification and post-match scuffle. The image of Charlotte standing over a bloody Sasha after 30-plus minutes was powerful. It should have been the last sight scene by the television audience.
