TNA star Abyss recently appeared on The Pancakes and Powerslams Show, and below are some interview highlights, with an h/t to Chris Featherstone of Inquisitr.com for the transcription:

On the decision to re-sign with TNA instead of accepting a WWE deal:

“There was interest from [WWE]. I was at a time in my career where my contract was coming up. But I decided to stay with TNA… It was definitely an offer there in 2006 to work with Undertaker, but again, I was such a big part of the beginning of TNA, I was such a home-grown talent, a base talent who they were building around, I decided to stay. I have no regrets, to be honest with you. Like I said, TNA has been my home and treated me so good, so in the end it was a pretty easy decision for me to make, and I’ve never looked back.”

On the next set of TNA Impact Wrestling tapings:

“Everything is A-1 with us. It’s going to be an interesting year coming up. I know that we’re planning on taping the next set in early January, and I think the company is really going to be able to settle down now and focus on the future. And I think it’s a bright future. There’s a lot of hungry talent there, a lot of great people working behind the scenes to make it a great place to be at, and I think it’s really gonna come together. I think 2017 is gonna be a fantastic year for the company.”
