The Latest on the Status of Billy Corgan vs TNA, What the Future Holds For TNA After the Lawsuit, Dixie Carter’s New Role and More

As noted, Billy Corgan and TNA announced several weeks ago that a settlement had been reached in the pending case of Corgan vs TNA, however, the case remains active in the Chancery Court of Nashville, TN.

According to PWInsider.com, both sides of the lawsuit came to a settlement agreement in principal several weeks ago, however getting the agreement officially signed has taken some time, and the final paperwork has just now reportedly been signed. This means the suit should officially be settled sometime this week or by the end of next week at the latest.

So what does all this mean for the future of TNA?

PWInsider is noting after the settlement is complete, Billy Corgan officially will be gone from TNA, and Anthem Media should then announce they have purchased majority shares of Impact Ventures. Once that process is complete, it will be interesting to see what, if any, changes are made to TNA internally and on the creative side of the company.

During the course of the Corgan vs TNA lawsuit, documents uncovered revealed the initial plan was to see Anthem own 85% of TNA, Aeroluxe would own 10% and Dixie Carter would own 5%. Should the preceding remain the actual plan for TNA going forward, it means Carter would benefit financially from any profit TNA makes, but she would no longer be in power from a decision making standpoint.

As noted, TNA is currently scheduled to tape Impact Wrestling the first week of 2017 in Orlando.
