This figure is NOT at retail yet but you can get him online and I do recommend it! There are some flaws with it but it’s still a pretty nice figure overall!

Looking at Flair in the packaging, the first thing I will point out is that his robe is open, which I’m sure you can tell, but it makes him look really goofy in my opinion as he did not have his robe open when wearing this in his epic entrance at his match against HBK. The robe actually has those plastic tag pieces holding it open, so when you go to remove the figure be sure you cut all four of them before trying to rip him out of the plastic as you may end up tearing the robe or making holes in it.

Besides his goofy posing in the plastic he looks pretty great overall. The robe is really nice, which I’ll get into shortly, but the overall box design is pretty cool, as it resembles that of a title belt. You can see pictures of Flair on each side as well as a description of the moment this is based on on the back. On the inside of the box there are designs, it’s a little hard to see here, but it’s just more decorative stylization to personalize his box. I think he would’ve looked better on display if his robe was closed, but that’s just me.

Looking at Flair out of the box you can see just how detailed his robe is. Mattel did a fantastic job on it, most likely because they make Barbie so they’re good with cloth goods, but the robe really makes this figure worth it. You can see all the details, even underneath it, which is awesome. The robe really makes it a beautiful figure and it velcros in the center so it can stay on his body securely. It’s very simple to remove as well, just pull the velcro pieces apart and pull each sleeve off his arms slowly.

After you open it you can see his ripped chest, which is my other complaint with this figure. Especially at this point in his career Flair looked nothing like that whatsoever. He actually was not in that great of shape in general so this is a major complaint I see from a lot of collectors. It is disappointing they couldn’t give him a flabbier torso but perhaps that was a stylistic choice on WWE’s end, but I’m not sure.

Besides the ripped torso you can see he has all the typical Elite articulation, which makes him great for posing. He has his latest head scan, which I believe looks decent. I don’t like you can’t really see his neck though, which makes him look a bit goofy, but it’s not awful. The figure is pretty simple, but Flair had a very simple look so they captured it well.

Looking at the detail that this figure has, outside of his robe, you can see he has RF on his tights as well as his boots and not to mention the finger tape, which is a nice touch to say the least. You might even miss the last detail if you’re not looking closely at it. His kneepads don’t restrict his knee movement either, which makes posing that much better.

Overall, this figure is really nice minus the overly ripped torso and the robe being open in the packaging. Once you close the robe you wouldn’t have either of those issues looking at it, which makes it a great piece. I do recommend picking it up online if you get a chance, it’s definitely worth the $24.99 price point. It should be in stores soon I’d imagine but no idea as retail is pretty far behind on a lot of sets.

Thanks for tuning in this week and be sure to check out the new Figure 2 Photo episode this upcoming Monday showing how I recreated the moment above with HBK and Flair from Wrestlemania XXIV! Look for that on the WrestleZone Facebook and YouTube pages!

Enjoy your holiday weekend and I’ll see you next week!
